Celebrating Determination and New Beginnings: YO! Baltimore Graduation 2025

On Thursday, June 26, 2025, the courtyard at HEBCAC in East Baltimore overflowed with pride, joy, and hope as Youth Opportunity (YO) Baltimore honored the Class of FY25 during its annual graduation ceremony. Held in the Jeff Thompson Courtyard, the event recognized 11 extraordinary young adults who chose to return to school and earn their GEDs.

Each of these graduates overcame personal, academic, and systemic challenges in traditional school settings. Their decision to continue their education through YO! Baltimore is a testament to their resilience and vision for a brighter future—not just for themselves, but for their families and communities.

The ceremony brought together family members, community supporters, and YO! staff, all united in celebration of this important milestone. The event featured heartfelt remarks from Zizwe Allette, GED Program Teacher, and YO! Program Director Ariel Liddell who reaffirmed YO!’s commitment to walking alongside Baltimore’s youth as they pursue their goals.

As we celebrate this year's graduates, we’re also celebrating the strength of Baltimore. Each cap tossed in the air, a declaration of hope and a promise to keep growing.

Congratulations to the YO! Baltimore Class of FY25. We are so proud of you—and we can’t wait to see what you do next.
